Xamk users

Multi-factor authentication (MFA)
(available to Xamk users from March 2026)

Login takes place in two steps:

1) long form username (students: username@edu.xamk.fi and staff: username@xamk.fi) and password.
2) separate confirmation

Confirmation can be:

  • authentication requested by a mobile application (e.g. Microsoft Authenticator)
  • 4–8 digit code received as a text message
  • phone call
Note! A smartphone is not required. You can also use a text message or a phone call. If you are unable to use your previously selected verification method, you can set a new method in the Xamk identification service: https://id.xamk.fi. Read more detailed MFA instructions. If you still cannot log in, please submit an IT support service request on the Xinfo customer service website.

The password and the multi-factor authentication method can be changed with bank identifiers at the Xamk identifier service: https://id.xamk.fi. You can get further instructions and help in possible problem situations by leaving the service request on the Xinfo Customer service.
